A woman returns to her childhood home for the first time in ten years. Her father has died. Her mother has gone quiet. She walks through three rooms — the kitchen, the living room, and her old play room — and learns to see them as they are.

Every room exists in two visual states. **Dreamcore** is the warm, idealized version of the room as she remembers it. **Disillusion** is the same room as it actually is now — colder, emptier, true. The player presses a single button to blink between them. Some objects only appear in one state. Some appear in both, but look and feel different depending on which version of the room is showing. The story is told entirely through what the player chooses to look at.

There is no combat, no traditional puzzles, no fail state. The game cannot be lost. A complete playthrough takes about 15 to 20 minutes.

No installation required. Extract the .zip and run `Discolored.exe`.

I really like the art style and the shader, feels very dreamy and polished. only missing thing is sound which will elevate it even higher
